Dr. Thornton’s interest in integrating traditional psychotherapeutic approaches with spiritual methods led him to develop the secular, non denominational Prayer Wheel Program. This technique provided his patients with a flexible and simple method that allowed them to benefit from prayer as part of a holistic treatment plan regardless of their background or beliefs.
According to Dr. Thornton, prayer is an ancient technology that precedes religion and was used for intention setting, dialogue, discussion, and guidance to help put in motion the things you want in life.
At Invite the Power, we believe that prayer is a tool and a skill that can be learned and strengthened. Our goal is to make the benefits of prayer accessible in an interactive way.
Invite the Power is an app that offers a new mode of prayer anyone can use to test the power of prayer without dogma. Because the Prayer Wheel Program is designed to be “use-dependent” and not “belief-dependent,” it doesn’t matter if you are religious, agnostic, or atheist.
