The Authour
Tony Silvira is a public speaker and Author of two books, “A Skeptic’s Enlightenment and Invite the Power.”
The son of Portuguese immigrants from the island of Pico, Azores Portugal, he was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Tony left school at a young age due to what he described as an oppressive boredom which overpowered his desire to remain in school. He began reading self-help books and learned the principles of positive thinking. Tony used this knowledge to start and open several successful businesses.
The theory of positive thinking had become Tony’s recipe for success and a magical cure-all until he came face to face with the biggest challenge of his life. With little warning, his life completely unraveled, depriving him of almost everything he valued, including a sense of control. He lost his home, business, health, career and eventually, his wife to cancer.
These circumstances were so overwhelming that positive thinking and mind over matter were no longer enough and would soon become insignificant affirmations.
During these challenging times Tony met a man that would change his life. He was introduced to a system that would help him go deeper than the power of the mind to a limitless wisdom capable of directing his mind to serve him better. He never thought such a system could exist, especially within the realm of prayer, until he met Dr. Thornton.
Dr. Thornton created the Prayer Wheel Program a secular non-denominational way to pray; a self-help tool that anyone can use, regardless of their background or beliefs. Having used the Program for more than a decade, Tony is a believer of the power of prayer and passionate about showing others how they can also benefit and take control as creator of their life.
