Forgiveness
When the person who is praying, gives in to the prayer, they get to find relief from their clouded thoughts. The consistent train of thoughts leave his soul as he closes his eyes. He is able to drain all the negative energy from his body by thinking about what actually matters. The process of praying is healing in this way as it provides relief from all the troubling thoughts and painful memories. Each time a person raises their hands to pray, they remember every single incident that caused them pain. But remembering how they were able to survive through those moments gives them hope. Even when they remember the moments associated to their unresolved pain or suppressed memories, they find that they would be able to fight off those strenuous times somehow. In this way, prayers are self-healing as it brings peace in their thoughts.
A silent prayer is a promise of a better tomorrow and a means to find way in your heart to forgive others. Hating someone, holding an offense, or harboring a grudge causes many negative effects. Any person who is unable to forgive the mistakes of others makes his own life miserable. He doesn’t realize that all the while he was intent on hating or unforgiving others for their wrong doings, he was damaging his own heart. The hate keeps on growing eventually making his whole life joyless and sour. His health keeps on deteriorating along with his relationships. But prayers offer a way out of the shackles of this unending pain of unforgiveness.
Each time a person prays, they release positive energy. The positive energy removes the bondage to our souls that could be compared to being enslaved by people or bound by a substance addiction (i.e. hate, in this case). One by one, every prayer opens up the locks of sorrow, anger and strife and tie new ribbons of hope, joy, love and fellowship. By forgiving others, we get free from their control.
